In honor of Earth Day 2021 (designated Thursday, April 22nd), the City of Gearhart is hosting a FREE clean-up day at City Hall on:
Saturday, April 24th
Drop boxes will be located at Gearhart City Hall for resident use from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Please bring unwanted junk and other trash for deposit in the drop boxes. A separate electronic disposal dumpster will also be onsite for discarding electronic material. ***6 feet social distancing during drop off please***
Please be sure you're able to lift whatever you bring from your vehicle into the dumpster; due to the nature of social distancing, the City may not be able to assist with heavier items like in year's passed.
A reminder that while trash and electronics are accepted, never bring hazardous waste. (DO NOT bring: chemicals, oil, tires, batteries, paint, solvents, or other hazardous waste.) The Clatsop County Hazardous Waste Program in Astoria began operating January 2020. Click HERE for a their location, business hours and more information.
