Election Forum

State and local Seaside and Gearhart candidates will join the Seaside Signal for an election forum on Thursday, Oct. 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. The event, co-sponsored by the Signal and the American Association of University Women - Seaside Chapter, will feature candidates in a livestream broadcast. Due to COVID-19 space limitations, in-person attendees will be limited to the candidates only. 

In Gearhart, City Councilor Paulina Cockrum is running for Mayor unopposed.

City Council Position 2 candidates include Reita Fackerell and Bob Shortman. Position 4 candidates include Dan Jesse and Jack Zimmerman. 

At the State level, Suzanne Weber and Debbie Boothe-Schmidt are scheduled to share their platforms as they seek House District 32. 

Three City Council seats are up for reelection in Seaside in November.
