City Hall is the heart of the City's operations; a place where you can get information about city licenses, building permits, water service/billing, municipal court, planning services and much more. Office hours are 8:00AM to 12:00PM and 1:00PM to 5:00PM Monday through Friday.

The City of Gearhart is proud to announce, the online permitting process is now live. This web-based system allows you to upload your permit application, pay application fees via credit card, view application status, schedule inspections, and search records for public viewing. This will be available 24 hours a day for your convenience. 

Contractors are to apply for and purchase building permits, submit plans, and schedule inspections through the Oregon E-permitting program for Mechanical, Plumbing, and Structural permits. More Building Department information is available here.

The City of Gearhart conducts Building Inspections Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. 

Electrical permits and electrical inspections are handled through the Clatsop County Building Codes.
