The Gearhart Beach entrance near the Gearhart Condominiums allows vehicles access to the beach. You can drive as far North as Warrenton, but only as far south as the 10th St. beach entrance. A beach wheelchair is available for free rental, helping give anyone with mobility issues the opportunity to enjoy the seashore. People enjoy clamming and shell hunting on the beach. At low tide you can find the beach filled with sand dollars. At night you can sit on the beach and watch the sunset near a bonfire. Youth enjoy the beach for long runs, and training for the Cross Country Program at Seaside High School.

Gearhart Public Golf Course

The Gearhart Public Golf Course is one of the most challenging and nicest courses in the Northwest region of Oregon. This 18 hole course  [Golf Course] takes up the majority of the North side of Gearhart, with an excellent walking path continuing all the way around it. The Gearhart Golf Course is the perfect place to spend a sunny or damp afternoon, followed by dinner at the Sandtrap Restaurant.

Centennial Garden & Trail's End Park Playground

With its grand opening in February 2023, the City's new playground is a big hit among locals and visitors. Former Mayor Cockrum first proposed the project in the spring of 2021. The equipment was funded through donations and a City match. With its border-bench seating, take a moment to relax and the let the kids enjoy each of the unique pieces the playground has to offer.

The Gearhart Tennis and Pickleball Courts and Basketball Hoop is where kids and adults alike meet to play games like handball, pickleball, basketball and tennis. The Gearhart park immediately across the street allows for some running room for soccer, football, frisbee, or tag.
