GEARHART YARD WASTE

Gearhart Yard Waste is a free service for Gearhart residents. (NOT COMMERCIAL CONTRACTORS)

The bin is located north of the driveway off Pacific Way between the Fire Station and City Hall.

Yard Waste consists of anything that grows; leaves, branches, twigs, plants, grass, etc.

Yard Waste does NOT INCLUDE: meat, eggs, dairy, plate scrapings, cardboard, animal waste, dirt, sand, rocks, sod, processed lumber, or any bags.

Lawn & Refuse Bags marked "Ideal for Composting" ARE acceptable.

Disposal of non-approved materials has resulted in charges back to the city for proper disposal.

Gearhart residents with Recology accounts can dispose of yard debris free of charge at:

                Astoria Transfer Station

                1790 Williamsport Rd

                Astoria, Oregon

                 503-325-4623

                Monday – Saturday 8am to 5pm

The yard waste bin is emptied on Monday-Wednesday-Friday in the summertime, and reduced to two days in the winter. It fills back up fast after emptying, especially when the weather is nice.
